Watford FC is delighted to announce that we are now taking applications for traditional matchday mascot packages for the 2022/23 season.
We recently contacted our Junior Hornets members informing them that matchday mascots would be returning, and following the fulfilment of those with a previous booking that had been on hold due to Covid, the mascot offering would be extended to all eligible Junior Hornets members.
If your child is interested in applying to be a matchday mascot for a home game in the 2022/23 season, please read the below details before registering an interest.
The online form for applications is now live for all Junior Hornets members, aged between 5-11. Please ensure your child is signed up to the Junior Hornets membership available via tickets.watfordfc.com, and all details within the form are correct before submitting the application.
All mascot packages are available free of charge and are only available via ballot entry.
Two match tickets (one adult and one junior) will be provided as part of the package, however all mascots will be expected to supply and wear their own full kit from the 2022/23 season on the day.
Five spaces will be allocated per home game and each place will be filled through a random ballot – there will be no waiting list in action.
Applications can facilitate two Junior Hornets per entry, meaning siblings will be able to enter as a pair and, if selected, will be offered a place for the same game.
Junior Hornets should only appear in one form submitted. Any duplicate entries will be void and removed from the ballot.
Once the online form has been submitted, the applicant(s) will be considered for a mascot space for the duration of the 2022/23 season until they are offered a place as a mascot.
Successful applicants will be contacted no later than three weeks in advance of the fixture date, at which point further information regarding timings and a full itinerary will be provided. Once the place has been accepted, the child selected to be a matchday mascot will no longer be considered for a mascot position at Vicarage Road for the remainder of the season.
Bookings are non-transferable, however if the chosen mascot is unable to attend a particular game they will automatically be re-entered into the draw to once again be considered for future games.
Home mascot packages are run separately from away mascots. The away mascot selection process will not have any impact on eligibility for home mascot allocations and vice versa.
