Dis Watford: Fan Poetry

Dis Watford

Written by Charlie Beale (Year 6, Highwood Primary School)

Dis Watford are well on form

Dey know how to play de game

Dey keep going even when it’s warm

Dat amazing strike should be put ina frame

De players make dere town proud

When dere resilience pays off

Cos on de pitch dey are very loud

An never make dere tackles soft

Off de pitch dey are very nice too

Glad to know dat dey are wearing yellow

Dey put all dere work in some shoes

Being kind to every young fellow

Normally just rocking dose stripes

Extra boost from having some fun

Friends not enemies, none of dose fights

Always hearing de cheers from dere Mums

Dey beat Tottenham, shocking de world

Fans keeping de spirit going

Pereyra’s brilliant shot dat twirled

Players flowing, flowing, flowing

Last minute, Deeney past a defender

Success with de cheeky roll

Hughes with a touch which is tender

Deulofeu powerful hit, GOAL!

A young birthday boy shouting fe his favourite player

Most players coming his way

Deulofeu not a disobeyer

Handing his shirt to him, making his day
